    Led Users Unite!

Oh shit.. This thread has turned into a dick measuring contest.. Who cares how much someone else grew if it just ends up as a dick measuring contest..? The whole argument got lost into dick measuring.. It's really sad when you consider that this is supposed to be a place where people come to...

    MOD 420 Horticulture COB Lighting

I like the MOD 420 since it's square and perfect for a 2x2 or 3x3, but it's obviously not best the design for anything bigger than a 3x3. I just wanted to give my opinion since everyone's got different setups and budgets. Honestly, I think both of them would sell well, especially with the...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Hey guys quick question, I got a hlg 240h 2100b driver a while back because I wanted to only power a few cobs at higher currents (bad idea). So the "constant current" region for the driver is - 59 ~ 119V, which is only 3, 36v cobs in a series maximum. Anyways, I started thinking about...

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Hey, I was planning on running 5 Citizen CLU-048 1212's 3500k 36v on an HLG-240-1400. Will that setup work if I have it on full blast? Whats the most efficient way to run those cobs? If I only use 180 watts of my 250 watt driver is that considered inefficient or is it just like extra space...

    Question - CLU 048 1212 cobs with HLG 240 1400?

Hey, I was planning on running 5 Citizen CLU-048 1212's 3500k 36v on an HLG-240-1400. Will that setup work if I have it on full blast? since 36 volts * 1.4 Amps = 50.4 watts per cob 50.4 watts * 5 cobs = 252 watts total which is more than the 250.6 watt limit from the data sheet. Am I wrongly...
