    BEST Cheese Strain?

From reading the experts here it seems the "real uk cheese" I was smoking was something else altogether. It wasn't particularly skunky. Taste was sweet artificial cheese. Like a Cheeto flavored hard candy. Addictively tasty. Lovely happy/goofy sativa effect, not racey or mind-minding. One of...

    Useful Seeds

Had to leave town for a week and leave my girlfriend in charge of watering. She hates it and has already told me she's never doing it again Thoughts and prayers appreciated.

I have a skunk and oranges in flower.5 weeks since flip. Intense smell of sweet oranges when you touch a flower. Tent smells of orange ice-cream. Really excited about this one. I hope I can do a good job drying and retain some of those terms.

First time attempting autos in soil with LED's. ANY pointers appreciated

Maybe stick to soil then, it's the most forgiving. Do you have a link to the light? Often they will call a light 1000 Watts but it's only drawing 150 from the wall.

First time attempting autos in soil with LED's. ANY pointers appreciated

I think some sort of coco mix or even rockwool would be more appropriate than soil with those nutes.

Skint newbie on a budget in search of good advice.

He means money up front. And he's dead right, forget about led if you are on a budget, they're great for long term savings on electricity but way too expensive if you are trying to get started on a tight budget. A 600 watt hid lamp like he posted will cover at least a 4 x 4 area perfectly and...

Skint newbie on a budget in search of good advice.

Don't go with 9 plants on your first grow, I think you'd be overwhelmed. I'd go with 2 or 3, maybe 4. They will produce a shit ton of smoke while you are waiting on your second grow.

    PAR question

Have you considered a heating mat? Trying to heat seedlings with leds doesn't make sense, youre too likely to stress them.

Anything I should take into consideration before ordering 2 x KingBrite 240W qb288 v3 lm301h red mix UV IR?

Do you really want to use ir with those genetics? Id be worried about stretch. Uva could help reduce it though. It's there a model with just uv and no ir?

    Lighting for tent!!

That's a good question. I honestly don't know. Even if I analysed the ingredients in each I couldn't say which is best. But I know kis organics is used successfully in commercial grows and the dude who runs it is solid guy who I trust. I just don't know much about other soils so I can't...

    Lighting for tent!!

No I wouldn't mess with it by adding extra coco. Every soil will benifit from a mulch, theyll all dry out at the surface if they're "naked". If I was in the US I'd buy "kis organics biochar soil" and fill two fabric pots and go water only the whole way to harvest. Get the biggest pots that will...

    Lighting for tent!!

I just looked up roots soil. For your first grow it looks perfect. If I was you I'd top dress with your worm casting at the beginning of flowering period and just just use plain water the whole way. Maybe some sort of mulch to stop the top layer of soil from drying out and becoming a deadzone.

    Lighting for tent!!

If you want to build your own soil google "coots mix recipe". Coots mix is a really good reference point to build a reusable "no till" mix. I followed it pretty closely for my last few grows, and I was delighted with the results. Unless you live in a certain area in the US you might struggle to...

    Lighting for tent!!

Building your our soil is a huge rabbit hole. You could spend weeks researching and sourcing ingredients. Are you in the US? If so I'd advise getting a bag or two of "water only" potting soil from kiss organics, buildasoil or similar. Unless of course you want to go down that rabbit hole, I have...
