Should I flush the Rockwool cubes soaked in the softened water with distilled water to try and remove excess salt? My worry is that apart from using softened water, that I overwatered it to begin with and flushing out the cubes will saturate them even more. To flush, or not to flush? :dunce:

Thank you the reply. The Rockwool cubes were more than 50% saturated when I planted the seedlings, which may part of the reason why they are possibly overwatered.

Thank you for your reply. My water softener is salt based. If I am never to dome or mist the seedlings, would I need to add water directly to the Rockwool cube? Would it be OK if I used distilled water for the seedlings? If so, do you have an amount in mind for how much Ca/Mg would be needed?
