to flush or not to flush

Sure! Here's the link to the university study linked to from the article. https://atrium.lib.uoguelph.ca/xmlui/handle/10214/12125 And here's the article discussing it. https://cannabiscultivationinstitute.com/flushing-cannabis/ And here's the chemical composition chart they share.

to flush or not to flush

I was just reading an article about a university study that ran several chromatography tests on plants that had varying degrees of flushing done and they all came out chemically identical which puts the nail in the flushing coffin. We all know that there's a lot of old wives' tales around about...

    Organic newb question

Does your RO system have the extra filter for removing chlorine, and/or are you letting your water sit to evaporate off? And are you sure there's no chloromine? Asking because chlorine and chloromine aren't terribly friendly with the soil microbes you need to help break down organic fertilizers.

    North Atlantic Seed Company

I appreciate you saying that. I don't want to derail this thread, I have just heard a lot of different numbers thrown out there in regards to how long seeds should be kept. 1 year, 3 years, 5 years. I've never used Pacific Seed Bank, but their FAQ says use them within a year. I just know from...

    North Atlantic Seed Company

I tried them for the first time recently. Good prices on genetics I was looking for. Came quickly and had some good freebies and a couple other knick knacks thrown in. Only gripe was that of the breeder packs I ordered, the only one that was dated was nearly 18 months old. Hopefully they're well...

    Advices for first grow

Actually, when you get into more advanced growing techniques, it's not uncommon for growers to intentionally damage their stems. It's called super cropping. It's advanced because too much damage can hurt or kill, and a rupture in the outer layer of the stem can allow infection. But with the...

    Beneficial Bacterias in RDWC?

Coco isn't just a hydroponic medium, though. I have done quite a few grows using a coco/perlite mix as a soil alternative with organic dry fertilizer (Dr Earth) to get all the benefits of a traditional soil grow with a few less of the headaches that an overthinker like me is prone to - I don't...

Lets be honest and talk about microbes there use, affects and cost

From what I understand, Mykos is a single strain, Rhizophagus Intraradices. As far as I know, it's one of the more important strains in growing your plants huge. Trifecta Myco Supreme uses the related Rhizophagus Irregularis. I used to use Great White, which has a large variety of organisms...

What's with all these new strains?

I moved around a bit and kind of got out of the scene for some years. Now I'm back to growing and feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the strains from US breeders I'm seeing in the US seed banks. I used to order frequently from UK banks and I've been through some of the big names like White...

Saw my first gay knife fight today.

Lots of us say things that are a little bit racist from time to time without thinking about it, it's kind of part of our culture. A lot of times it's EXACTLY because we think it's funny. But if it's actually a racist thing, that doesn't just make it okay. Either a thing is racist or it isn't...

Saw my first gay knife fight today.

Kind of did a double take, myself. I work a labor job with a lot of Mexicans. Some of the nicest people I know. The ladies bring me home-cooked meals sometimes and I sometimes go out with the guys after work to grab a beer. Don't know any of them who cutting people is in their blood.

First grow first post, looking for good vibe comments and advice, it’s a experimenting grow✌️( the first but no the last, in the learning process)

Pretty plants. That first grow is an awesome first step and you're going to learn more from doing than you would have just reading so here's to a bright future! Speaking of which, what are you running for lights? And are you growing autos in the same tent with photoperiod plants?

    basic grams per watts

Trying to cram 2000w into a 4x8 is definitely pretty hardcore. There's going to be a limit to how many grams per square foot you can fit in there that's going to bottleneck you at some point as well. Your plants need canopy space to absorb more light. You can't just dump an unlimited number of...

Need help identifying this strain please.

Alright, I know everyone is having a laugh at your expense, so here's the polite version. When we're dealing with strains, we have a thing called phenotypes. Just like with people, when a couple have kids, those kids come out with variations - different combinations of the parents' DNA, the...

Trying to start grow in garage.

90 amps is quite a bit. On a standard 120V line, that's 10,800 watts. Must be one hell of a garage. Mine only has one 20 amp breaker for the outlets and another for the opener.

    Seedbank genetics - same DNA?

No living thing creates offspring with perfectly identical DNA - that's why some people make a big deal about getting clones of specific strains. Evolution wouldn't work without minor changes in DNA from one generation to the next. Think about siblings - identical twins aside, a pair of brothers...

Using my discarded air to heat my house

Cold air holds less moisture, so if it's cold in your house it's probably also pretty dry. If you do raise your humidity from circulating the warm air from your grow through the rest of the house, I'd imagine it still wouldn't get it to an out of hand level. But I suppose it depends on how much...

Fabric pot vs Plastic vs ??? Sizes?

My last grow was in a 2x4, 7 foot tall tent. That gave me room to grow two plants about 5 feet tall, after using up some vertical space for the container and the led panel. These girls were covered in huge 13-blade leaves. I used 5 gallon fabrics in autopots (Autopot Smart Pot XL). I just...

LED Burn, Pest problem, ph problem or root rot? light green leavs and brown roots.

Would depend on your light source. I'm running a Viparspectra Par600 that puts up 680 uMoles at 24". I have to go for 36" to get the appropriate intensity for seedlings. Different lights even at the same wattage can produce a different amount of PAR. Some are more efficient at staying within the...
