I agree. I did just that and made some clones in the little light-blocking bubble cloner bin inside the room. Also the door in on but not fully closing / light-blocking yet. I just switched the lights so we shall see how it turns out!

I think I should top them... any tips? I should also look to trim some fan leaves or only on the tops/clones? For the size of light I have I don't think letting them get too much bigger would be wise.

Here's an update - now that they've adjusted to the water with roughly 250-300 PPM grow nutrients, they've exploded! Happier than they've ever looked. The roots are most of the way down the buckets too. I finally remembered to take a few pics in the dark before the light came on, so here are...

Thanks! My light is about a foot above the tallest plant. Unlike HD or others I worry about the different LEDs if they're too close as mentioned earlier in the thread - it might be fine for a plant under a white LED but the one that might end up right under the IR or UV LED could get cooked, at...

Here's an update - the roots have hit water and they're HAPPY! Two of each strain and they all seem happy :)

I've got 250 PPM hydro grow nutes in the buckets. Moving in... and getting settled (with air pump, fan etc) : Two Himelayan Cream (sativa) and two China White (indica) remaining. As for the room itself, there's pretty much only the door left to do!

Before moving anything in, I checked out the plants and found two of the four remaining Himelayan Cream were male... sorry for crappy photo

Alright well the wall has primer on it (think I forgot a shot of that) and the here's a few days ago getting the inside done: It's starting to look like something from Dexter... haha

Here's a few pics of the initial wall of the grow room! It's 3 feet deep from the real foundation wall, and 11 feet long.

Pretty steady around 22-23 degrees at 45% humidity every day. I might have been under-watering a little but was misting... I usually water if they start to look a little droopy. I didn't want to rot the roots... I am starting to think they'll need bigger pots very soon.

A quick update... here they are at 3.5 weeks. There is some yellowing and I hadn't fed them yet, so I just tried feeding them very lightly last night (180 PPM, was a quarter of the vendor recommended dose). The green parts are very green and healthy-looking, but the yellow is quite yellow...

Here's an update, don't mind the larger one in the background. She's adopted (not part of this grow) but I love her all the same!

Awesome journal. I'm so pumped seeing your results - far greater than I thought possible with a light like that (mine is comparable, LED with roughly same power used). Keep up the great work!

Good point - I'd have probably under-fed them at the DWC stage but I'm sure soil has some nutes already and I'm not clear on how to test soil (obviously water is easy lol).

I'm new to nutes too. I will have to find this online chart you speak of but in the meantime I figure, their bottle has strengths on it for "optimal" ... growth? or sales? Therefore I'm going to go easier than they tell me to be safe. Do you just have it in the bucket or in any water you might...

I've heard (but someone please validate or refute!) that to switch from day to night you need to go 24 hours of dark before the first new light cycle.

Brighter is pretty much always better, just don't burn the plant with heat when not an LED - and, if LED, if it's like mine with separate red, blue, IR, and UV bulbs it isn't good to get too close over more than one plant because one will be under a blue light while one cooks under the UV one...
