Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

@Rocket Soul , If you put the circadian cycle of plants into Google, you should get a lot of articles. I am Spanish, so if I put it in Spanish I get many articles, I wouldn't know how to tell you in English. But I leave you some links to those articles in which I learn about these studies...

Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

It is a very widespread myth. The use of far red 10 min. before the day/night photoperiod change has no influence. This is regulated by the circadian cycle of plants. There are many studies on that and they did not depend on distant reds to know when it was time for sunrise or sunset.

    Discolored top leaves

It seems that they are recovering, the new shoots have a good color and the leaves with spots are not getting worse. I did some foliar applications of Epson salts.

    Flower light question.

The spectrum is not a different topic, you can put 1800 PPFD of a green spectrum and that study would not tell me anything, the same as that study that uses purple LEDs with blue/red and without using the other bands of the spectrum, especially green/yellow and infrared that affect the leaves more.

    Powered by digital ballast

The real power will be +/- 660w and the other +/- 60w remaining will be the losses generated by the ballast.

    Flower light question.

    Powered by digital ballast

Basically you have the option of giving more power and they reach 720w. All ballasts have the option of super lumens and give more power

What would you pick led or hps?

You are absolutely right, the spectrum changes depending on the time I had sent a pdf with spectral measurements from 8:00 am to 12:00 am and thus see the differences in the spectra, but to put a phrase in Spanish they have deleted it. If you are interested send me an MD.

What would you pick led or hps?

You are absolutely right, the problem is that I have not tried it, I have only grown with LEDs and HPS, so I cannot recommend something that I have not tried hehe

What would you pick led or hps?

Regarding the use of IR in plants, for me with an example it is simple to understand the importance of infrared. Let's see a sunny day lying on the towel on the beach with the sun shining, you will start to sweat, you will end up tanned and sweltering as hell. If you go into a UV ray booth...

What would you pick led or hps?

The choice of your light does not correspond to you, it corresponds to the temperature where you want to place your crop. If it's a cold place, HPS DEFINITELY. If instead you grow in a hot place LED.

Few ideas to get around the heating issue with LED lights.

The use of heating reduces cultivation efficiency. If you don't have a suitable temperature, use sodium, lec or other lighting that raises the temperature and provides light. Do not use heaters that only provide heat.

    LM301H vs LM301H-EVO

@sfw1960 With these two spectrums you can harvest flowers, but the plants will be morphologically different. Plants have many photoreceptors, these are called antenna pigments. That is why it can be grown under different spectrums.
