    If you want to use multiplication, you would have to multiply using the inverse of the percentage. 1/x 1/.94 = 1.0638 195*1.0638 = 207.45w 1/.86 = 1.1628 195*1.1628 = 226.74w

    Are you running at 50w or 24w? If 50w you'll want more spread between COBs most likely...?? That's something you want to think about. I'm doing 50w, 4 x COBs on a 40in x 5.88 from heatsink USA with good results. I'd still have an oscillating fan blowing across the heatsink every rotation. Cheers!

    Don't mix thermal pastes. If the heat sink already has paste, then use it. Or clean it off and apply your own. But once it's down, you can't lift that COB off. If you do, clean off all the thermal paste and re apply. Sry for grammar on an iPad.

    Following a conversation from a few pages back, How long are CXB3950's expected to last? Specifically I'll be running the 36v CD bin 3500k at 50w and 1.4a. With the meanwell driver. Should I expect a 2 year life span? 5 yr? 8 yr? I'm optimistic but I don't want to be unrealistic.
