    4 strains, all quirky/RED stems

Dude I use storage bins with holes cut in lids to accept the net pots. Then fill to about 2-3" below your net pot with hydro nute water. Put a couple of big air stones in the bin using an aquarium air pump for a BIG aquarium. You just made a DWC hydro unit. Your plants will grow fast and be...

Slight issue but Beaty of a plant

Hi. So this one is growing outdoors in a 5 gallon root pot. I feed her twice a week with a nutrient mix I make with organic ingredients. She is budding nicely but I noticed an issue - mid plant she has started to get leaves that are almost bleached (including the veins) but it's like mostly...

    Auto Northern Lights (00 Seeds)

Here's pics. My thought is to cut off the growth at the back that is very dead. The top growth and that in the front looks like it is trying to come back. Getting rid of the dead will probably help be rest. Again any thoughts?

    Auto Northern Lights (00 Seeds)

I think mine is further gone than that. It is wilted and while still green, it's been a full day out of the hot area and it is barely even trying to regain turgir pressure and stand back up. I'm not willing to cut it down yet, I want to see if it survives. But I started a new seed just in case.

    Auto Northern Lights (00 Seeds)

So I found out what happens when your grow area is too hot. The poor plant!! It was/is about 3 weeks into its flower cycle and was looking fantastic - tops all over it. We had a heat wave here in my area the last few weeks and I didn't have a cooling method in my grow area. My vegging plants...

Anyone have any idea what I'm seeing?

Hi redeyedfrog. Here are pics of my auto NL. She's beautiful and lush and full. I think I didn't explain well how I have treated her since I've gotten feedback saying I messed with her. What I did was sprout the seed in peat moss in one of those little plastic "greenhouses". Once the first true...

Anyone have any idea what I'm seeing?

Thanks everyone. I moved it once because as I said it got cold and wasn't growing. Otherwise it has been in hydro and happy since.

Anyone have any idea what I'm seeing?

Hi everyone. So I'm tryibg to figure out what's going on with my Autoflowering northern lights. I sprouted it on May 9th and started growing it outdoors along side a bunch of plants from regular seed (not feminized). After the first true leaves appeared I moved it outside and basically it...

Cheap Way to make CO2 for your grow

Super glad I could help. Just trying to pass on what little knowledge I have in return for the vast amounts I've taken from here. :hump:

Ok what I think you are saying is the calcium in tap water is not the right type of molecule for the plant to absorb. You are partially correct. Typically the calcium found in tap water is in the carbonate form (calcium carbonate - CaCO3). This type of calcium is like garden lime (dolomite...

Guide to Nutrient Deficiency or Toxicity

Great info, unfortunately almost all of the pics have been removed. Please repost!! I'm trying to figure out what's up into garden. I know my water has no iron in it, just confirmed that yesterday. Odd for an old home but I have a well and a new filter setup on the whole home line, I guess it...

    Auto Northern Lights (00 Seeds)

hi. So this is my first attempt at growing an auto. I started 3 seeds and only ended up with one viable plant. I started it in soil outside about the end of April. It sat there for about 3 weeks while the weather here went from warm to chilly and basically did not grow at all past its first set...

Right but if you take your water to 0ppm you have also removed all of the magnesium and calcium buffering the water. Be sure to add cal mag back. You want water about 300-400ppm out of the tap or filter. You can assume this is mostly mag and cal as they are the major ions found in ALL water...

Cheap Way to make CO2 for your grow

Hi. See my reply like 3 or 4 posts up about ventilation removing CO2. Short answer is yes ventilation will remove it. But I explained above that you can use the ventilation system on a timer and run it like 2 hours every 4 hours whIle the lights are on and all the time when they are off (plants...

Cheap Way to make CO2 for your grow

growdad: yes the CO2 is evacuated rapidly with exhaust fans. You get no benefit from augmenting CO2 at night (or during the dark cycle). What you can do is put your vent fan on a timer so it runs for like an hour every 2 hours or so and then constantly during the dark period. Ventilation (other...
