    Are Hoods Optional?

I was reading another forum and saw in someone's signature (who appears to be pretty experienced) that "hoods are a scam." He seems to have all his sodium lights just hanging.. https://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=48555&pictureid=1228311 Is that normal? Anyone else tried growing...

One plant in an 18 gallon Rubbermaid

I found some good 18 gallon Rubbermaid nodes I want to use for my DWC. It seems like most people do two plants in a 18 gallon, but I'm curious, has anyone tried just one plant in a 18 gallon node? How much longer did it take to fill up the area with roots? Was the yield much higher?

    2 plant dwc system

I'm thinking of doing 2 plants in each 18 gallon tote we're using, still nine gallons per plant, should be fine.
