Pick the male with the most characteristics that you are looking for. If you like the smell, use that one, if you don't, use the other. Same goes for structure, which is the nicer looking of the two etc.

Just my 2 cents, but I've found that if the plants are using up the nutrient solution unusually quickly (during a warm spell or something) that backing off a tad on the nute levels (by say, slightly diluting the solution with plain water) can help prevent nute burn and salt buildup. But then...
