    SOG growers wanted !!!

I found it kind of funny how certain types of grow methods gain and lose popularity as time goes on. I personally changed to once every month harvest, cycling the two cabs. Been having some mite issues but that should be done with here soon. I guess I kinda feel like I learned everything I...

For the record, the tray that had the "curl", I had 8 Poison Kush and 1 OG, the OG didn't curl at all. So obviously it is going to depend on the particular plant, but I could only guess it was from lockout because nothing else made sense. Now that I have put a few strains through the mix I am...

Hey gypsy, is that leaf curl from overwatering or lockout? I had that happen on a batch and I am still not sure what it was. I am thinking lockout though because I think I let the PH go up a lil high for too long.

When I lived in Arizona, Swamp Cooler was the main source of cooling for part of the summer. I remember it SUCKING. Most of the summer Arizona has a "dry heat" meaning low humidity. Swamp cooler works effectively then, but it makes the humidity level in the house go way up. When the natural...

Entirely doable with Jack Herer, that was my first. The buds in the end always ended up fairly fluffy, but they certainly did the job. Kali I don't know about, but my Sour D is side branching and stretching too far to be worth it. I don't like the sparse distribution of nodes with it. It will...

I start with them at 5.4ish and a couple days later they break 6....I have pretty damn small reservoirs though. Anything higher starts to show on mine.

Kinda funny you guys got on the bud dryer subject. I started building mine the other week and am planning to finish today. And no on the cleaning. Not needed yet at least.

You really should get a pot per plant. A whole lot more flexibility and you can actually move your plants/clean your trays. I almost went Mr. Green style as well and don't regret picking up some square pots. Also your Water is fine. R/O is really only for the anal or those with high TDS(me)...

I admit I didn't research very heavily. I ended up going with AN Sensi 2 Part. Haven't been doing any additives other than hygrozyme. Don't really have much to compare with because I am constantly doing different strains. But once I decide on the few, I really want to optimize. How does AN rank...

Well let me rephrase. It is as height stretchy as any of the others thusfar, but the side branches are way too stretchy for my liking. They are only at a little over 2 weeks though so I can't say for certain what they will end up like, but compared to the other strains I have tried, this one...

Sour D is stretching WAY more than any of my Jack's did, gonna have to scratch that off the list. Not saying it isn't good for SoG, just saying it isn't good for my SoG setup.

    Curing

You will learn to read the buds. Sometimes they need more hang time, sometimes they need the bag, sometimes they are ready for the jar. The buds themselves, along with enviro conditions will determine dry time. Ultimately you want to dry as slowly as you can without mold. That isn't a lot of...

    Odd Smell During Curing..?

Anecdote time! The first strain I grew was Jack Herer. I didn't know what to expect and when it came to the harvest/cure I just followed the same ol information that is in that guide and that is usually repeated in these threads. I waited until the stem snapped, I tried both jar and bag sweats...

I haven't been able to flower it yet, but I have been sitting on a SSH mother for a while. That bitch is lanky. I have been able to train it to produce denser clones, but I know it will not be a good SoG fit for me, (at least in my cabs). I have heard of plants finishing in 7 weeks, but 5 seems...

Yeah, I can drink the water, but I don't. :spew: So maybe I am picky but since I don't want to drink it, I don't want my babies to drink it either. Of course you can grow great without it, but my R/O setup was a $120 dollar one from Lowes, and in my opinion it has paid for itself many times...

Sorry I should have mentioned. The R/O thing wasn't in reference to your setup question, it was just a good thing to do. I have around same EC in my tap and with my extra nutes the plants hated me. Also lots of salts were precipitating out. When I changed to R/O everything was nicer. As far as...

    - How often do you change your nutes? - I have tap water around same level as yours. Do yourself a favor and get a r/o system. They aren't that expensive considering and your plants will love you.
