I'm sorry but I don't see how you could possibly come to this assumption, my plants hadn't even been fed yet so how is the nutrients getting locked out? Gonna give it a foliar feeding since the dirt is moist and things should be fine.

No I don't, and as I said before I only water once the leaves become droopy and look lifeless.

The leaves become crunchy once they turn yellow I am certain it isn't over watering I wait for my leaves to droop before watering again and the container gets good drainage. As for foliar feeding should I use half strength?

Title says it all plant is showing slight nitrogen deficiency the first set of serrated leaves are pale pale green almost yellow and the next two set after that are slowly changing from dark green to a light green. I'm not sure if the benefits of feeding it will outweigh the potential problems...
