Beercan CFL reflectors! Cheap, easy and effective! Photo how-to guide

Hey imchucky666, Thats a good idea, definitely worth a try. Seems like a hole saw might have too coarse of a tooth and want to grab the thin metal and tear it up though. Have you tried it since you posted? Oh, and I love the Stanhope quote. And to all the others who've posted since my last...

Thanks for the quick reply Jonus. How much space should I leave at the bottom of the new pot?

Time to pot my clones...The stems are long...can I bury them a little? *PICS*

Hey all, I just checked my clones tonight that have been rooting for 3 weeks now...I had potted a few of them into 3" peat pots 1 1/2 weeks ago and now the roots are growing thru the bottoms! This is my first cloning attempt so Im very happy about this...but now theyre ready for their final...

Thanks everyone for the comments! It's a plus-one for a users reputation points. The green rectangles below a user's details show how many that person has. Good idea. Drink responsibly! Thats the great thing about this tutorial...even someone has no use for the reflector...

Wow, thats a powerful expression of yourself for your first post here on Roll it Up. I really liked it and you are clearly a gifted writer. You must have had to experience death first-hand to have such a clear understanding of it. And Im sorry for any grief you've had to go through. Yes...

Nope, no heat issues. Aluminum is great for dissipating heat and doesnt retain it long so it's a great metal to use for this application. Thanks again for all the positive comments everyone. Im glad this is helping out so many people. Good luck to those of you who are going to try out the...

Need to build a custom "pot". Ideas for a construction material???

Good to know. Ill definitely look more into DWC. Ill check out your sig as soon as I get a chance. And Im still not sure if they're males yet. The preflowers were still too small to tell for sure so I took clones just in case. Also I may try to do some selective fertilizing to get some seeds...

Need to build a custom "pot". Ideas for a construction material???

I hadnt been able to find one just the right size but I will keep looking. I havent checked WalMart yet but I avoid that store like the plauge. Guess I can make an exception this time  I had thought of that too but my obsession with including the lip to get every last square inch of...

Need to build a custom "pot". Ideas for a construction material???

Thanks guys, I just might do something like that. I scrapped the pot idea because after building it and sealing it with silicone I discovered that I couldnt get it in the cabinet! Man, was I pissed. I ripped the thing apart and threw it across the room. I decided to go the cloning route and...

Thanks everyone for the comments and the reps. Mikemirve, I got the socket at homedepot I think. Pretty sure they have them in the electrical section with the light-switch covers and plugs and zipties and shit.

Need to build a custom "pot". Ideas for a construction material???

That's not a bad idea. In the meantime, smilies and italics can help note sarcasm if they're used right...like... George W Bush was such a great president  No need for a sarcasm tag there! haha. Yeah, 12" would be great if I had the height. My cabinet is less than 3' tall so a pot...

Seed growing - When do you start counting the days?

Cool. Thanks everyone. Im wondering because Im still waiting on my preflowers to show and I'm now on day 42 (counting from starting the seeds as DoeEyed does). I thought they were supposed to show after 4 weeks or so and this now puts me in week 6 with nothing. Guess they're just late bloomers.

Dont worry about it. I know sarcasm is near-impossible to pick-up in writing. But think about it...if anyone would actually use another person's nasty-ass trash can for something like this they've got bigger problems than kleptomania.

    Dual Fan?

It shoud work well. Those air purifiers are powerful bastards for their size. Good luck with your new seeds!

Seed growing - When do you start counting the days?

Maybe this goes grower to grower, but what is the general prefered time to start counting the days of your grow? Day 1; seeds placed on moist papertowel? or Day 1; seeds popped above soil line? Granted, simple question that only makes a few days difference, but just curious. Thanks...

Looks like youre watering it too much and it should also be repotted soon. Doesnt look like it needs any nutes just yet. Good luck.
