veg needs blue light mostly so anythin above 5000k. the optimum being 64000k. for flowering you wanna drop right down to 27000k which is lower down the spectrum in red. i believe.

ur spot on there mate. i'm using a 125 watt cool white cfl for four plants. pics to follow. i got mine on ebay.co.uk, look up envirolite. you can find them sold there complete with hood pretty cheap.

i am currently doing a cfl grow. the girls are 6 weeks old today and looking good! i've got 4 of them in a cupboard with a 125watt cfl and this seems to be plenty. you can buy cool white and warm white spectrum cfl's and ebay does a good range of them called envirolite. they aren't too dear...
