What I have taken from this grow is that any defoliation during flower directly hinders the overall yield.. it is best to only defoliate during vegetation stage. I truly believe these colas had a lot more going for them. The weeks they took off to recover was vital.
Just because he leaf is not directly covering a cola does not mean the leaf is not blocking lateral light. Life is 3D. In my case I went ahead and used that ideology.
Day 18 of flower, did a good defoliation. Changed light distance to 18" from top of canopy to ease recovery. Pretty happy with the result. Let's hope she is too.. lol
I don't disagree that slimming up the bottom third is a great idea but I did trained this thing to be short. Bottom 1/3 of this plant gonna be.. juicy..
Would anyone care to share their opinion on light distance from the top of the canopy? Currently Under ViparSpectra 600W at about 16" from top of buds. They seem to be doing less well than the lower buds.. should I adjust light height?
May be important to to provide that there is abolsutely no...
Day 12 of flower, shit's getting out of control in terms of leaf management.. I want to wait to until stretching is done until I prune, but I may have to move that time up a bit.
First round of flowering nutrients were given last night, here's a 12 hours difference. Day 10 flower. Thank you phosphates!
To continue my journey of knowledge on defoliation, I'll probably trim her up in around week 3 of flower.
To whoever reads this post; Good morning, and thank you for taking your time to share your advice. I greatly appreciate it.
For starters, this plant here is an Aurora Indica(feminized) seed-to-harvest grow. Currently operating in a 4-6 closet space under a 600watt(276eq) Viparspectra LED...
She just came out of the initial 36 hours darkness before flower. I am using a viparspecra 600W (276 w/e) LED. Currently the lights are 20" from the top of the plant, when is it time to lower the lights to 16-18"?
Also defoliation opinions would be nice :) happy Friday my friends
