Does any one have experience with these temperature controllers? I am planning on plugging in an electric oil filled heater to slightly raise my lights on temps and keep my tent and closet at 75* lights off. Thanks for any replies

This light has two power switches when i turned on the four light switch it made a popping sound and none of the lights came on. The other two light switch works fine. It,s a hydro farm brand and the bulbs are about a year old. This unit is probably ten years old does it work on separate balasts...
