    Bulb Exploded - what now?

Yeah, I was wondering about whether the glass had some kind of coating on the inside, mercury would suck. I'll research it. Don't know the brand, buddy shipped it to me from clear across the country, plugged it in 10 minutes and she blew, glad i wasn't standing there.

    Bulb Exploded - what now?

Thanks, appreciate the comments, those are all good points of view. Might have to trash the bunch, don't want to compromise anybody's health. But what if I can extract without the glass? Like dry ice hash or something. The glass couldn't make it through those little holes, the trichomes can...

    Bulb Exploded - what now?

So a thousand watt bulb just blew up over my four lavender wrecks just before harvest time. Shit! Tried vacuuming the glass dust off but the buds are so sticky it doesn't work well. Any ideas how to salvage? Or what are my other options?

So you want to grow legally under 502?

Yeah, the white paper is kind of bullshit, but they are making assumptions based upon what the IRS has done in the past. You want to see where the IRS made the judgement look no further than the high profile Harborside itself. See the link to the Forbes article I put up earlier or just google...

SPRAYING the ladies with DISTILLED WATER

It's just that they should be much bigger at 4 weeks, no matter how you slice it. Something's way wrong here, that's all.

So you want to grow legally under 502?

What are you trying to say? Kind of confusing. I very specifically stated what has happened previously with the IRS regarding allowable exemptions. I am very clear in stating that producers and retailers are different. Am I trying to 'test' the IRS in being a producer and claiming all...

So you want to grow legally under 502?

Well, I don't claim to be any expert, but at the risk of repeating myself: So this means for a producer, virtually all your costs (rent, labor, insurance, materials, utilities) are all allowed expenses, because they are required to produce your goods. Your delivery, marketing and sales cost...

So you want to grow legally under 502?

umm... right, think that's what I just said. Laws have to change for retailers. Growers have different situation.

    Attitude Seed: good service

So I sent my (expensive) order and promptly got nothing but a tshirt. Green tape, nothing else. Bummed, so I sent an email with photo, and they reshipped immediately. I tracked the first order and it had gone through Chicago, after what I read, no surprise. The next time it came through San Fran...

So you want to grow legally under 502?

Colon, I think you have it wrong. Check out what Cost Of Goods Sold(COGS) means. Here's the deal - the IRS has allowed cannabis businesses to deduct COGS despite the 280E clause. From the Forbes article: "What about the cost of the actual illegal product, the marijuana? Interestingly, that was...

So you want to grow legally under 502?

Why do you say that, about not taking any business tax deductions? The IRS 280E clause does nail a business for expenses, but not for cost of goods sold (COGS). So for a producer, almost all of the business expense can be allocated to COGS. For a retailer, it's going to be tougher. Bad enough to...

Legal growing in WA! - 3,600 SF indoor grow. How do I set this up optimally?

Wow, 175,000 watts, to get 62.5 watts/sq ft. That's about 800 amp service if you're running 220 volt, just for the lights alone.

Legal growing in WA! - 3,600 SF indoor grow. How do I set this up optimally?

I think you're going to have to build out some rooms, maybe 10 foot ceilings. Your control of environmental conditions would be difficult in one large space. Temperature, ventilation, humidity and CO2 can be managed better in 10 to 20 light sized rooms, figure 6 x 6 per light to have space to...

So you want to grow legally under 502?

Hmm, yeah, I'm on the listserv and got that too. So location being public kind of makes sense, but really not. The state is giving anyone the information of where the Tier 3 growers are, and everybody else. For 30,000 sq ft at say 30 grams/sq ft that is over 2 million dollars sitting there at...

Seized Seeds and the Attitude Comes through!

I ordered almost 200 smackers of high CBD seeds from Attitude on the 11th, with a t-shirt. I got the shirt today, but that was all. Green tape but no letter or anything else, went through Chicago and Seattle. Sent an email to the 'tude, will let you know what they say. Bummed out though...

    spray hight in cloner

my commercial unit comes spraying out if I lift any foam circle, so I think they designed it to hit directly on the cuts. So much for your hormone, which they said you didn't need. If there's air and water it'll happen. Oh and temp too, I put a controlled heating pad under the reservoir set at 72.
