Wouldn't sticking some acoustic foam or wood acoustic thing on the back of the closet but from the outside of it (where I want to block the sound from going) will remove any noise? I've been interested in those... any experience with things like that? All sorts of noise dampening...

Thanks! :) I might do buy those suspension cords and dismount the fan from the closet's wall, if that's what you all suggest. I actually wasn't thinking the noise is coming from that... It just seemed (maybe still seems...? :) that the noise was just coming out of the whole venting operation...

Hey, thanks but that's not foil. It's the reflective material I bought in the grow store, taped with reflective tape (very tough, not removable).
