    Drying? "Curing"? WTF??

Yeah, I saw that, thanks. What you mean is that curing makes it more potent? Anyway, I'll probably just eventually get a vape so I can pretty much skip the whole issue.

    Drying? "Curing"? WTF??

Yeah, I'm like that too. I can't tell the difference between wines, champagnes -- it's all the same to me. I like beer. I reaallly like weed -- but definitely not for the "taste". I can't even imagine what weed tastes like -- it's smoke. How do you taste smoke?? Even back in the day, when...

    Drying? "Curing"? WTF??

I have a book on cultivating weed and it doesn't quite explain what it means to "cure" it. It even says that for small indoor growers, "curing" may not be necessary, just drying. It also seems to indicate that people "cure" their weed mostly for the taste. This is a mystery to me, since I've...

Time to smash another mj myth -- is "TOTAL" blackness needed in 12/12?

I'm just a noob but I'm ready to question certain aspects of mj growing gospel that smell like myths to me. ...Like the one that says "total pitch-black darkness is necessary in the dark period of 12/12, or you'll stress the plant & it'll hermie". Of course, I'm striving for as dark a cab as I...

Most innovative/efficient light traps for pc grow??

You can also buy the corner guards in black. You'll still have to paint them flat black, but I think getting them black store-bought gives you a head start.

Most innovative/efficient light traps for pc grow??

The guys in scrubninja's thread tried "z"s, but "z"s seriously cut the air flow. "V"s (right angle corner guards) worked better. I hope the "z"s work for you, voidling, but just saying. The thread over there is a long with one, with lots of guys trying different items...

Most innovative/efficient light traps for pc grow??

You can make a variation of this (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=135524) using plastic corner guards from home depot painted flat black.

Okay -- exactly how does aluminum foil create "hot spots" anyway?

So let's see -- a CFL 1.5 inches away is good for the plant, but its reflection from aluminum foil is bad? Oh wait -- that's if the reflection just happens to be randomly concentrated just so... Sorry to sound snide, but the more I think about it the more I think it's just a myth...

Okay -- exactly how does aluminum foil create "hot spots" anyway?

Can you point me to one of those posts? I have a feeling that the aluminum "hotspot" thing is just another weed growing myth. Crinkly aluminum may not be as effective & reflective as smooth mylar or white paint, but I don't think it can create hotspots with cfls. If it could, some engineer...

Okay -- exactly how does aluminum foil create "hot spots" anyway?

Well, space blankets are even more reflective than aluminum, so why don't they create hotspots? I'm curious. Okay, how do you know that. CFLs aren't even high heat unless you're super close. How is aluminum going to make hot spots from CFLs?

Okay -- exactly how does aluminum foil create "hot spots" anyway?

How does aluminum create hot spots anyway? Isn't that a problem that happens only with high-power lights like hps? Can cfl cabs use aluminum foil?

My cab will be only about 26" tall.

What are the best breeds/seed for this ?

By "character" you mean the kind of buzz?

What are the best breeds/seed for this ?

nahhh... Obviously you can pick indica vs sativa, autoflower vs not autoflower... and I'll bet there are connosieurs out there who can recommend strains for the type of high they give...

What are the best breeds/seed for this ?

I'm thinking about buying seeds online in the future... I'll probably get a variety, but since I'll be building a small cab, I'll focus on: -- Indica, since they don't grow as tall as sativa -- Autoflower, for quick results, and growing from 12/12, though not necessarily Beyond that, I...

Is my micro-grow too big for PASSIVE INTAKE?

Thanks bluejeans. I'm gonna use that carbon filter idea, plus rig up a carbon filter like in the link. Hope the fan can still push air through all of that. lol

Is my micro-grow too big for PASSIVE INTAKE?

My cab (a portable air conditioner shell) is sorta tailor-made to have passive in-take at the top front, and exhaust at the mid-lower back. Would that work? I know heat rises, but I'm thinking that with a cab this small and a 110 cfm fan, I can get the air to enter at the top & pull it out the...

Is my micro-grow too big for PASSIVE INTAKE?

So I ordered a 4" inline fan with carbon filter, & it's GIGANTIC. Somehow I thought "4 inches" meant the diameter of the whole thing would be 4 inches & it's actually close to a foot wide. It's also a foot long, & with the carbon filter attached, the whole set up is about 2 feet tall. Also...

    Say goodbye to my girls

I'll look into Ona gel once I get my cab set up. I recently returned a carbon scrubber with inline fan that I had ordered -- it's way too big & too loud for my purposes (a stealth cab grow -- 26 inches tall x 19 inches wide x 11 inches deep). I plan to make a do-it-yourself carbon filter for my...

    Say goodbye to my girls

 I'm about to chop down my first closet grow because at 1 month, the plants already have my place smelling a little like weed when you first walk in. That's even with a few jars of odor absorbing gel opened in the closet, and the plants aren't even in flower yet! I'm in the process of...
