    World Of Hempy

Hey guys I'm actually trying to totally upgrade my grow, but am hung up on the ventilation. I want two tents with 400w in each. I plan to run the tents 12/12 all day. When one shuts off the other kicks on. I want to use coolable reflectors, remove the glass, and vent the tent through the light...

    World Of Hempy

How do dead roots effect a hempy? I just gave a buddy all the perlite/verm mix from my last grow and he's using it now. I had pulled the major roots out but it is still littered with tiny feeders. O and how you doing Moeb, it feels like forever since I last used the site. Can't believe this...

Are these solid plans for 2 400w tents?

Thanks again man. Any ideas for a better ventilation design. What if I build a box around my window and set the filter in the box and blow the fan into the filter. Here's a rough idea of what I mean. The location of the tents is more accurately shown here, although the fit is much tighter.

Are these solid plans for 2 400w tents?

Thank you for such a thorough reply. The reason I am using two separate tents is that the circuit can't handle running both lights at once as there are other functioning rooms in the house on the same circuit :dunce:(<--that's the guy that built this place) I will run one tent from noon to...

Are these solid plans for 2 400w tents?

What's up rollitup? I have been working hard on plans for my new grow set up and I want to run it by the community before I go bust open my wallet.I have a small extra room in my home and I decided it's time I start taking full advantage of it. I want to build a veg tent with flouro tubes and...

    switching to organics

If you really want to experience organics then as the poster above said you need a base soil. Do not waste your time or money on bottle organic nutrient lines. Build a healthy soil rich with microbes to feed a healthy and robust root system. With a good complete soil, like subcool's super soil...

I'm not exactly sure why your dissing on the rev so hard. I know there seem to be a lot of plugs in his book, but he also teaches things like recycling soil and introduces people to the idea of composting at their own homes. All of these things encourage people to begin to break away from buying...

Layering and spiking are pretty straight forward. What the rev likes to do when preparing a new container is alternate between layers of strong mix and layers of your basic soil. He likes to splash blood meal on the bottom of the container, put a thick layer of a high nutrient blend, cover that...

Hey man I have had a worm bin for over a year now and I feed them a mix of different fruit and veggie scraps, with the occasional dried and crushed egg shell. I used to soak plain brown cardboard and shred it up as my bedding, but I just recently switched to coco and perlite at a 3:1 ratio and...

    Pumpkins for compost

I don't know if the all day sun is a great thing with compost, as most decomposers like the dark, but I may be wrong on that one. Your good with pumpkins though they will work just like any other veggie. Keep adding nitrogen sources (like veggie scraps from the kitchen) and turn your pile once a...

    Compost for marijuana?

You should not compost in a sealed container or things will quickly get anaerobic and stinky. Oxygen is an important part of healthy decomposition. My indoor vermicompost bin is a plastic tote with drills holed in the bottom for drainage and along the sides and top for some air exchange...

Thanks for the idea man. I will start talking up the misses until she gets tired of listening to me and I'll probably have a couple of those jugs in the house by the new year haha. My tap is pretty decent, it comes out with a ppm around 85 and the local water treatment facility won an award for...

    More Plants? Or Less Plants?

If you are only vegging one week then you would definitely want more plants. If you plan on running less plants in bigger pots then you have to allow them to veg longer so they can take advantage of the extra root space. Sticking a plant in a 5 gallon bucket and only vegging it for a week kind...

I want to do organics really bad. I only buy organic produce. My vegetable garden is all natural. I recycle. I compost and vermicompost. I use all natural soaps and detergents around my house and on my body. But I grow hydro weed because it seems I couldn't grow organic indoors without finding a...

When you have four plants in 5 gallon smarties that need watering every 3 days doesn't that $1 for 5gal of water start adding up? Is the water dispensed at a giant ice machine RO? There is this thing nearby that you just put a couple quarters in and you can get either a big bag of ice or water...

I know that chlorine free water is considered an important aspect of TLO, and organic growing in general, but it is all I have. My local water report shows that they use a good amount of both chlorine and chlorimine in the water. The house I rent doesn't have any gutter system in place, so I...

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

So would this sub panel provide power independent of the existing outlets? Like the outlets already in the room will still be on the original circuit, but the sub panel will be it's own independent circuit with it's own breaker and I can add new outlets in a small custom box like something you...
