Hi natmoon. Could you please explain your technique for storing your pollen? It's just that i thought, even refrigerated it had a shelf life of approx 1 week only. I would love to store mine longer if i knew how! Many thanks ;) I love a male plant by the way, we see far too few of them and...

I think it is "damping off" and if i am correct then yes, it is fungal.

Leave about 5mm of stem still connected to the main stalk. This way, should any mold or infection occur, its kept away from the main stalk and stays on the cut stem only. after several days, the part still attached will dry and drop off, or can easily be removed by hand. Sterile scissors ya know...

Then yes m8, i would clear the bottom stuff, as it will improve air circulation for you, and instead of the plant using energy on growth that wont amount to much, it can concentrate all its energies into the top growth and buds, where ya need it. ;)

Just to add to what blonddie07 posted, warm water will also have far less oxygene in it, leaving yaself wide open to pythium type attacks, possibly causing root rots, caution m8 ;) Ya want ya res to be around the 21oC mark, hope this helps.
