Test the plants to see what you like. I have a few strains that produce fine with minimal pruning then I have a few sativas that have to be trimmed. It's all about what you are looking for. "To know you have to grow."

I use the botanicare pbp for soil, started out using ff nutes=garbage. Also use cal mag as needed let the ladies decide what they want test ph and flush bout every 3 weeks.

Most of the DIY is garbage, set it up right with reliable gear to avoid any problems. Plan before you plant. Sorry if I come off as a dick. No disrespect.
