I knew this would not go well.
I am not disputing your methods, in fact! I am modeling my next grow from what I have learned from you.
I am however doubting the true genetics of your Sour strain based on the information you have given me as I compare it to what is generally accepted as fact...
Drain to waste coco with a good nute regimen is fool proof.
Actually, drain to waste is fairly simple.
I am going to attempt my first recirculating system modeled after panheads grow style.
I lost 9 seeds to fungus gnats. The lone survivor is a branchy, very resinous, looks like a good yield, possibly slight color changes towards the end kind of girl. She has a tart smell, fruity, floral and a bit of skunkiness.
:hump:
70 days minimum.
With all due respect, Im not sure what you have is pure sour d. Its ballsy of me to say considering that I never grew the bitch. I am basing my information from reservoirs seeds forum over at icmag. Hes the biggest breeder of the strain and I have never seen anyone report an...
I have been waiting for your reply like a fiend!
Sorry to hear about the current health issues you are going through, I wish you better health in the near future.
From what I have read, Sour is an infamous stretch plant. Where did you get you Sour from?
I am looking for mine. Reservoir seeds...
We drink that water.
If it is ok for us to drink, its ok for the plants. Your plants are dying for other reasons I think. Too many for me to say what it is.
I had a similar issue, I fixed the temps, better airflow, learning my medium (coco), killing the fucking fungus gnats and now...
Tap water works great. Only thing is you have to know if its soft or hard, that could mess with your nutrient regimen later on.
You have that tiny seedling in a Recirculating system already, I think its too soon for that, it may rot.
Sour diesel that finishes in 8 weeks?
a full three weeks faster!
you are blowing my mind!
I hate to ask this because I feel nervous myself to post pictures. But would you mind posting some of your sour in the flood and drain system.
Thanks for the article. I would now figure 3-4 crops.
It made me want to get a 1000w more than ever.
But on a side note, Holly shit I just saw what you are doing with your vertigrow. Im gonna check it out
there is no difference. pick the one that works for you and your pocket.
anyone with thoughts on how many bloom cycles to use the digilux bulbs before its time to get a new one
Oh really, the hydro shop online I usually use recently made the adjustment. Its a good value then. The 600's is the way to go when price is considered, 400's cost about the same, and 1000's are approximately double. I still want to get the space and equipment to flower with 1000's.
Good...
I use Digilux HPS. Works good, I am suspicious of the huge price drop. They went from 100 to 69.99 ,even the 1000's cost 69.99.
Makes me wonder if something is wrong with them.
Ok......One! 1000w in a 4x8 tent. An adjust a wing reflector (bare), 24/7 exhaust with an 8" fan blowing at 667cfm.
Covering a 3x6 footprint RDWC.
What say you?
I have a couple of 600's, they serve their purpose well. I would like to try larger plants, so I am looking for extra...
Now a little more detail, two 1000's in cool tubes in line with the carbon filter going up approximately 20' with maybe one 90 degree bend. All being blown by a six inch 334 cfm.
Too much?
I have a Quantum 600w that can be dimmed. I like the fact that I can lower the energy for vegging plants. It may be useful for hot days to lower the amount of heat.
Only benefits i see to it. I do think you have to buy bulbs that are made for digital ballast though.
Is there a difference in either setup for keeping heat down. I do know and understand the correct way to install this, but lets just assume only one of these two scenarios is possible.
1) Air cooled hood and carbon filter in the same line exhausting 24/7.
2) No air cooled hood, just a carbon...
