Did anyone make F2s of the Rootbeer freeze? I outcrossed my pack for fems, but didn't make F2s. This smoke is great and I'm hoping to get some F2s for preservation. If anyone has F2s please hit my DMs.

How do you mix your nutrients?

Base mix, then magnesium sulfate, and calcium nitrate last, added to the reservoir one at a time. Never mix concentrates together. If you use potassium silicate, add that first.

    Newbie looking to upgrade LED

Quantum boards for simplicity. Great quality. They have their 2-slate setups. You could run 2 sets of those. Atreum boards are knockoffs of quantum boards, a bit cheaper. They have a 2 board, 34" frame. You could run 2 sets of those. I use bridgelux EB strips on a DIY frame of riveted 1"...

Old World Genetics - DJ Short

When some of the more favorable expressions are recessive, it's a numbers game. You'd have better luck finding your desired traits in 100+ F6's than in 10 F5's. My keepers usually dont come out of 10packs. but to each their own

Old World Genetics - DJ Short

DJs gear is great. But there are a lot of genetic oddities and heavier variegation is not unusual, which people usually don't like to see when paying ~$120/pack. In my experience, best results come from buying a pack or two, then open pollinating or crossing the best malexfemale, and...

    2x2' Veg Lighting

600w HID is way too big for a 2x2 veg area. HID is cheaper per watt than LED in up front cost, but it'll quickly become more expensive than LED once you factor in operating costs. Quantum board is probably the best bang for your buck right now.

    Led or hps

Dont get another mars hydro LED. I wouldn't recomment standard HPS, either. LEDs run cooler and more efficiently than Mars or HPS. And that matters in a little tent. Quality LED might cost more in up front capital, but the true cost of your lights is in operating: the monthly electical bill...

    Best cheap $100 light?

don't buy another viparspectra. 400W HPS is going to get hot in that little 4x2x5 tent. and it'll throw a square pattern which means your light distribution wont be even across the tent. LED tek is finally there. Look into DIY COBS or Bridgelux EB strips. They run cooler and are more...

Anyone using MaxSea on Flood/Drain setup?

Unless your water is super hard, you'll probably need to supplement it with calcium, and, depending on what variety youre growing, magnesium. But then you'll have a nitrogen-heavy feed, which should be fine for veg but might not be great for flower. Maxsea is great for soil, but for hydro you...

    Bridgelux EB Series Build

A types are dimmable. There's a built-in pot that you have adjust from 50% to 100% with a micro screwdriver, B types require an external pot for dimming. So if you wanted to dim below 50%, you'd need to get a B type.

    Bridgelux EB Series Build

Got my gen 2 light built and hung today. 10x 560mm 3500k strips wired in series, driven by a HLG-240H-C1050A meanwell. 10 strips is only about 200 forward volts, leaving me with about 40 to play with. (the driver maxes out at just under 240v.) The Driver gets a lot warmer than I expected. Is...
