    Something damage my stem?

So I was just doing an inspection and ran across this weird brown spot on my stem. It's not stem rot or anything as it's been super dry, so I'm thinking some type of stem borer? Usually those are round though. Something definitely went to town.

Soil Food Web Gardening with Compost Teas

Exactly. If your plant is showing a certain deficiency mid-late flower, then giving them some ready to absorb nutrients isn't going to destroy your soil food web but it will give them the nutrients they need to finish flowering.

Soil Food Web Gardening with Compost Teas

"Applications of synthetic fertilizers kill off most or all of the soil food web microbes." This is outdated. As long as synthetic fertilizer is not used in excess, it doesn't harm the soil food web. There was a journal on this somewhere I'll see if I can find it

First time grower! Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Happy Frog will have plenty of nutes for them until they reach the OF. I would suggest a slightly larger inset than a solo cup so early seedling roots don't reach the OF too fast.

First time grower! Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Don't plant directly into OF, it's too strong for seeds.

    Any suggestions

This is a bit of generalization, there's nothing wrong with topping outdoors. I know plenty of growers who do both. Some strains respond better than others.

    Drying

They'll either dry too fast or too slow outside. I've experienced both. Don't spend 4 months growing to dry it poorly and have it taste like poop.

High pH and chloramine in (Berkeley, CA) tap water for outdoor grow: treat it or not?

I was surprised as well but looks like east bay municipal district reports pH of 9.2-9.4 for surrounding areas.

Looking good! Yes, all of those will be top colas. She's looking ready for some nutrients, maybe transplant in a couple weeks.

    Hardening off plants

2 month old indoor plants will die if you stick them under direct sunlight, trust me I learned this through experience many years ago. As others have said, do yourself a favor and buy a shade cloth. That's really your only option, if you don't do that don't expect them to survive.

latest date to Germ seeds for outdoor grow?

This is a common misconception between indoor and outdoor growing. Most plants start to flower with less than 14-14.5 hours of light outdoors. For example in Northern California (~40°N) plants can flower at the beginning of August when there's roughly 14 hours of daylight. In Massachusetts...

BEGINNER:: SUPER soils, cloth pots and food etc.

Nobody is going to take you under their wing if you can't take the time to write out a coherent post. Budzbuddha gave you some great soils to get you on your way. You want shorter plants for stealth? Look into growing techniques like topping/LST and make sure you're growing an indica dominant...
