Ok, here's what I came up with. Correct me if the cooling method I came up with for the light is wrong.

To add cooling to the light, I plan on getting some glass to go over my light, with pvc pipes attached to it. The pvc pipes will connect to dryer vent hose so I can still adjust height. I don't really know what to do beyond that. Should I have another exhaust fan connected to the dryer vent...

Good point, on all accounts. I was thinking based on what you said about the hood getting some PVC pipe and setting up something like this... I would just have no idea how to build it. :P Edit: Actually, scratch the pvc pipe. I would have to use dryer vent hoses, derp.
