Plant left outside below freezing. What can I expect?

You know, this one time I went for a bike ride and asked my partner to put the plants in.... Other than being away once for 3 days, I have taken care of these plants every single day, inside, outside. Geez, I know it is useless to blame people for what is ultimately your own responsibility...

Plant left outside below freezing. What can I expect?

One plant got missed last night and spent the night out in the frost. I am worried about this plant. The leaves are largely translucent. I expect it will be severely damaged. Does anybody have any actual experience with this? What happened to your plants that got left out in the cold? The lowest...

    Frost in NW ohio

I have one plant that was left outside by mistake last night. It went down below freezing, -1C, 29F. The plant looks okay but is wilted with some translucent patterns on most leaves, and the leaves are soft and damp instead of their normal paper dry feel. I will report back what happens...

Temps dropping below freezing! Please advise!

One plant of mine was left outside last night by mistake. It went below freezing. The weather says it went to -1C, which is about 29F. Some leaves are showing translucent along the veins or along the edges. There are wilted, soft leaves and the entire top is tipped over and soft and wilted...

    wtf are these?

I had tiny white spider looking things infesting my soil in my pots for many weeks. They were much smaller than the ones in that video, and nothing killed them. Not even insecticidal soap sprayed bulls-eye right on them. Not H2O2 solution, nothing. Suddenly they all dissappeered, no damage...

    Collecting male pollen

Do you have to 12/12 the male to get him to flower and drop pollen? Earlier in this thread the original poster SEEMED to say that no, it would produce pollen 'on your window sill' - ie, not under a strict light regime. True or false? Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

    Miracle Grow

I'm using 50% Pro Mix, 30% MG Organic Choice, and 20% my own mix. My mix was way too basic (PH 8.2), and way too rich. I'm not sure where I went wrong but it has bat guano, worm casings, kelp, blood meal, Greens Plus (human vitamin drink), bone meal, alfalfa, dolomite lime, molasses, a tiny...

Deformed Fan Leaves with Tie-Dye type chlorosis pattern - help please.

Very cool Freddie. That just might be it. These Sapphire Stars have extremely purple stems as an FYI, this is normal for the strain, not a deficiency. I just throw that out there re: the mutations aspect. Twisted, yes, busted, guilty as charged. I hate myself for my techonological...

Deformed Fan Leaves with Tie-Dye type chlorosis pattern - help please.

Hello. My Sapphire Star 70/30 Sativa/Indica plants have fan leaves where one or more of the 'fingers' shrivles up on one side moving toward the center, to the point where it looks like half a leaf eventually. They also have marks of very light colouring that are in a pattern like oil on water...

    BC Bud Depot CROOKS!!!

I used the Vancouver Seed Bank. Bought ten each of two strains, 18 of the 20 germinated and so far 62.5% are female. The people there are relaxed and take time with you. I wrote to them to say how my little grow is going, and they wrote back within 24 hours to say thank you for the feed back, we...

how much lemon juice/water ratio to acidify ph please hurry!

PS, 1 cc = 1 ml, so if you can get a syringe, you can easily draw off 1.2 cc or 0.6 cc to squirt into 1 gallon of water. Mix it up with a stick or whatever, and test it. I too thought, 'oh, this is going to take a lot of lemon juice', and put in a half cup (125 ml). The test strip went off...

how much lemon juice/water ratio to acidify ph please hurry!

HOLY MAN! HOLD OFF WITH THAT TABLESPOON! YER GONNA NUKE THE POOR THINGS! I have ph 8.3 and use .3 ml per litre, in ancient 'Imperial' which uses non-sensical 'gallons and pints' and so on, I'm not exactly sure how to communicate this to you. Okay. 4L = 1 US gal (approx). Therefore 1.2ml...

Nasty Food ! Name the worst food.

The Chinese run Sushi restaurant in my town is pretty bad. Tempura that tastes like burnt donut batter. And in fact it is burnt so it may well be just that. Despite burning the batter, the yams are still hard inside. Plus, the dishwasher just got busted for dealing crack. I think there's more...

whats wrong with my plants + Pics + rep for help

I don't know what's wrong with your plants, but I mixed 10 ml of 'Floradix Formula' liquid iron in one litre of water to foliar feed some plants of mine that were going white/yellow right in the new growth. In my case, the affected leaves were going wrinkly too. Crinkly would be a better word...

Ceramic Metal Halide + High Pressure Sodium, a new level of performance

I'm growing for the first time so am slow with the wording. Are you saying you are using a 'ceramic metal halide bulb' (specifically retro white 400), in an 'HPS mag ballast'? What does mag stand for? I thought only hps could work in hps ballasts. Obviously not. What is the deal with that...

QUICK QUESTION: Should different color temps be used at the same time?

As for the question at hand here, it is a good one. If you mix the light from a 1000W hps with a 1000W mh, does that kind of give you a 4,200 frequency by blending a 2,700 or a 5,700? Or do they get a full dose of each? How does that work?

Genuity, the spider mite in the thing you posted is RED. Do they come in white? Do they live in the soil? No webs?

    are thhese spider mites?

So the little white things that run around fast in the pot and dive in and out of the dirt, are you saying those are spider mites? I have quite a lot of them in the dirt, none on the plants. I tried H202 + alcohol, but it didn't bother them one bit. I'll look around the yard for some lady...
