Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread, I only thought that I had a similar problem such as yours and was looking to find an answer, and perhaps aid with a picture of my plants, if we were in fact having the same trouble.

I am having the same problem it seems with my plants, as far as the golden brown dots on the leaves. If this is in fact a pH problem, does it mean the pH is too high or too low? I apologize for the picture being a bit blurry, but you should be able to see the discoloration well enough.
