I got Pro-mix BX (3.8 Cu ft bag) a bag of Perlite (8 quarts) as well as 8 quarts of Vermiculite. I was wondering how much (if any) of the Perlite and vermiculite do I need to add to the pro-mix. Also, is this mixture considered organic?

Distilled water in a Hydro setup? Im using tap and as soon as the roots hit the resevoir they started to turn brown (not a yellowish, but a true dark brown) the plants look alright although maybe a little stunted... I think it is either my water, or the res temp. I dont have a submercable...
