i have just the 2 plants growing in a room in the house, just light from the window. they are about 16- 18 inches tall but not that much foilage, whats the best thing to get the growth going without killing them?

can anyone help me? my 2 plants are very stalky not that many leaves, i am growing indoors without lights or extra heat. will this seriously affect the growth and what can i do to remedy this? will put pics up asap
