    Led Users Unite!

I'm not affiliated with anyone, you can't buy anything through these links. I just got tired of not seeing a side by side with actual measurements so I did one between 3 LED panels and tested using PAR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4I3bkkfBFE This compares the strength of the Grow Panel Pro...

Quiet. The Neighbors Can Hear You (Sound Control Thread)

LED's are nice and quiet but some only work so-so. There aren't many side by side comparisons out there so I did one between 3 LED panels and tested using PAR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4I3bkkfBFE This compares the strength of the Grow Panel Pro 300, Apache Tech 120 and the UFO 90 LED...

    Power Consumption / Light Cost

Everyone touts the energy saving power of LED's, but does it compare? There aren't many side by side comparisons out there so I did one between 3 LED panels and tested using PAR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4I3bkkfBFE This compares the strength of the Grow Panel Pro 300, Apache Tech 120...

Lumens, Lux, and Adding It all Up

I use Einstein Oil with great success, the plants eat it up and like and it protects against mites as well. Huzza!

    Light deprivation need info

To force the flowering stage? Cervantes recommends 48 hours but I've heard 24 as well. I've done 48 with good results, a few days after that and into the 12/12 and the top leaves were pressed together and starting to show the development.

    Who knows what this is?

I've used Einstein Oil for PM and its been working great. I'm sure any neem oil would do the trick but that brand has done me right-I had tons of problems my first grow but after starting a regimen of Einstein oil I haven't seen a trace of the stuff. I spray about every 2 weeks. Plus, the neem...

first grow following seemorebuds "buds for less"

Are you using CO2? I made a cheap CO2 generator for my ladies vegging and there is an obvious difference in the ones close to it and the ones further away, I would highly recommend it. Just a half packet of bakers yeast with a couple cups of sugar in a plastic milk jug with 4 small holes in the...

    Greetings Earthlings!! Kak's second grow!

So I changed my setup from air cooled to batwing reflectors and the vortex just venting the room. Much better! I got a CAP temp regulator and my exhaust fan is on maybe 10% of the time it was before and I get to run the room at 80, which I like. There is strain info in the pics if you click...

New School Grower! ~ Smoke’s Advanced Growing Techniques

What is your preferred watering method and growing substrate? Soil seems to be doing me well but I haven't tried other methods and am very interested in deep water cultivation. Also, I am very interested in LED lighting and am considering a mixed lighting garden when I have the funds to...

    Afghani + Topping = ?

Here are some pictures in a time progression, they've been going for about a month. They'd be bigger if I didn't fry them in the beginning.

    Greetings Earthlings!! Kak's second grow!

On the previous the one trained back and then with my finger is a Bigfoot. I decided to get another 200 Watts in there to try and juice up the buds just a bit more. I trained some of the top colas to make little holes to sink the lights in. I'm not using reflectors so want there to be plant...

    Greetings Earthlings!! Kak's second grow!

I don't feel like dragging out the suspense, I'd rather write in real time so I'm going to post a bunch of pictures in quick succession. Useful for calendar comparison.

    THC/SCHIZOPHRENIA relations

I am bipolar and sativas put me in a place that was close to how I felt when I was manic, and it felt great when I was manic! Its nice because I get to feel crazy and creative but then it wears off and doesn't ruin my life. I also went through a period of depression where I was smoking a lot...

    SAR Research

I am starting this thread because I'm very interested in the SAR response and the specific components we can use to elicit it. I purchase the YEA! brand of Chitosan and applied it tonight to my month old Afgani and SF Exotic Purple clones tonight and will apply to my Bubba Kush, Black Dalia...

    Bud Factor X

I've been doing a lot of reading up on SAR research and found this handy guide to the commercially available basic components. Now, mind you, this is put out by people trying to sell the stuff to you so it needs to be taken with a pound of salt. I've found some good research that supports...

    Willow Water/Salicylic Acid Info

Very complete and useful. Good to know when I meet a chemist where to get the pure stuff. Although, who knows? Nature is often the best way so I'm off now to look for a willow tree. For those interested check out my next thread on chitosan, only changing from here for a more appropriate thread...

first grow following seemorebuds "buds for less"

Hey man I'm new on here as well. I was enjoying his book so much up I threw up some supplemental lighting and sunk it in available pockets in the terrain. Check out the pistils very closely on day 67 of his book though, there is a crappy brown pen overlay on some of them and I'm thinking...

    Afghani + Topping = ?

So Afgani responds well to topping at a foot? I'm running these ladies in veg for 2 months so am looking to find ways to set the plants up for increased yield when they're transplanted and have a larger light footprint to take advantage of. Part of the problem is now they're all under a single...
