This is a 6 foot floor lamp, that points at the ceiling. I have no idea what it is, but I'm curious if one could use it to veg or flower? The only information I can derive from it is the wattage of the bulb. 300 Watts. What do you think?

Well, this is my first grow journal. Not much to say really. it's been about 3 days, and you can see the little seed popping it head up. I'll post the pictures. Sorry about the quality, for some reason the camera refused to focus on the seed... I'm using a mixture of 1/3 "backyard" soil, and...

So, I germinated a couple seeds. The tendrils were tiny, but they cracked, and I could clearly see them. I didn't want to wait too long before I planted. I hear any longer than an inch, can possibly shock the plant. Anyway. I stuck it, tendril down, point up, about quarter inch into the dirt...
