can i repair the damage its close to the stem some one told me i could but not sure could anybody help as i am concerned 4wks before harvest

can anybody help me i broke a branch off the stem some one told me you can repair this is this true i was told to use marsking tape its right at the stem will it grow back as i only got 4 weeks to go till harvest any thoughts please:confused:
