I finally got an email response from Herbies saying that yes they are legit. Also DNA Genetics that makes Reserva Privada seeds also emailed, and said that HErbies is legit. If anyone has been chacking out seedbay . com then you would have seen that REZ released a few Chemdog IX-III yesterday...

I emailed them to see if they could prove that they were legit, and have yet to here anything. If you pull up a Google map of their location it says that it is East Coast Ink Tattoo Shop. Kind of Fishy.

anyone know of a temperature controlled shutoff?

I did find this one that handles 15 amps as well, but is cheaper. http://www.4hydro.com/growroom/sentinelcool1.asp

anyone know of a temperature controlled shutoff?

The One from Home Depot only handles 5 amps. The C.A.P. handles 15 amps and is specifically designed for this job. The home depot version is not designed for HID lighting. It is designed for an attic fan. I think when it comes to safety being cheap is counter productive. A 600 watt light runs a...

Do roots grow through smart pots?

Mine never have, but I have talked with a few people that have said it is possible. The way the pot works is by "air pruning" the roots. So when you pull out the plant you will see all of these little roots ending at the side of the pot. Like I said i can only go off of my experiences with them...

anyone know of a temperature controlled shutoff?

You want the HLC3 by C.A.P. They run about $100 The HLC-3e by Custom Automated Products protects your garden from overheating and your light from Hot Starts". The HLC-3e constantly monitors your garden temperature. If the garden exceeds the temperature that you have set, the HLC-3e turns off...

Question on fan strength pulling through carbon scrubber

I have seen the Stanley Blower from Walmart used a lot. It has 3 speeds as well. I think it is about $45. With some mods it seems cheap and pretty effective. If you can do it right from the begining I would just buy an inline fan. 4" would be enough for cfl's. Somewhere around 250 cfm. Also go...

How long to dry out seeds?

I did a seed run, and was wondering the right way to prep them so that they can be planted. I have heard wait a couple of weeks to allow them to harden. Then plant them. Is that all that I need to do?

    Fans for 600 wt light?

1 would work very well. YOu would probably only run it at about half power, but if you ever need anymore then all you have to do is turn the dial. 400cfm will also handle a 1000watter. I will be using one for two 600watters ran together.

    Fans for 600 wt light?

That fan is just not made for that. I know people have used them before, but you would be way better off with an inline fan that was 250 cfm or higher. They try to rate those fans a lot higher than what they are. You can always go bigger, and plug it into a speed regulator. The only thing I...

Soil is still the way to go!

You can't do better than god. I use %100 organic dirt. What sold me was seeing some Cannabis cup guys grow there entries in dirt. They said they do hydro all year, but to win the cup they only use dirt. I found that quite interesting.

Would a 4 inch inline fan and carbon filter keep this cabinet minty fresh?

It took a good couple of days to finish out the build. Now that it is going it I might spend 15 to 30 minutes a day on watering and looking over the plants. On nonwatering days maybe 5 minutes. Once you get it dialed in you can just sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. It is well worth it.

Would a 4 inch inline fan and carbon filter keep this cabinet minty fresh?

when I said door gaskets I meant weather stripping. Sorry about that. I use one on the door, and another around the edge of the door frame. I also replace them at the first sign of wear. For the insulation you can just use styrofoam panels that come in 4' x 8' sheets. They start at 1/2" thick...

Would a 4 inch inline fan and carbon filter keep this cabinet minty fresh?

I have my fan wrapped in insulation. I also use insulted ducting, and with the door closed it sounds like a very small fan in a closet. So far no one has noticed. Also I have insulated my walls, and door along with over using door gaskets to seal light and sound. I have had plenty of people walk...

Would a 4 inch inline fan and carbon filter keep this cabinet minty fresh?

If you are talking about an actual inline fan then yes it would work. If you are talking about a duct booster fan then no. What lights are you doing, and are they going to be vented seperatly? I am just wanting to figure out how much heat you will be producing. Because you can easily roast your...
