First Grow! what else do I need to know or do? Mid's BagSeed

Yeah they started out a little stretched but they filled out a bit. I notices the foam piece you were using to hold up the sprout. I wouldn't advise to use that type of material as algae and mold could grow on it from prolonged moisture exposure. An for lighting 100 watts for your first plant...

    Welldiced, first grow journal..........

Plants are looking pretty good! They don't seem to have any sort of imperfections. An once you start flowering I'd suggest a DIY in-line carbon filter on your exhaust. Though you may need more static pressure to force the air through the active carbon and the rest of the ducting you have in...

    Risks of self-wired PC fans?

Just do it properly twist together, use a wire nut if you have any for a secure connection and good contact, then seal with electrical tape. and remember to keep electricity up high and the water down low because they don't exactly mix well.:blsmoke:

    Light Proof Intake 'How-To' (w/PIX)

Do you use some sort of ducting with your exhaust because if you do you could add a inline muffler. I'm not sure if you've heard of GrassCity but i have seen an excellent tutorial on how to construct one here.

    Micro Hydro Design

Yeah thats my idea exactly. An it could be scaled to an even larger system with the right materials, but seeing how i don't think I'd be leaving it unattended very long its not required. Thanks for the suggestion i think i might do that somehow.

    Micro Hydro Design

True about the circulation issue I never thought of that cause can't stagnant water produce algae. The way I was think it's more or less gravity fedBasbthe external resevoir is higher than the root mass container. With the water inlet into the root container being the shorter of the two air...

    New to hydroponics...

yeah dirt's practically dirt cheap lol.....still could grow some good herb out of it though. cause i more or less think that it more strain dependent. cause hydro just would increase the rate and efficiency of the growth of the plants bringing them as close to perfect as genetically possible.

    New to hydroponics...

hi, i'm new to this myself but im'm pretty sure that you can also have an organic hydro grow assuming that you mean't you have an organic soil grow. using molasses as a nutrient in your hydro system. also for a 1-3 plant system can prob set you back anywhere from around $50-100+ if you do it...

    Micro Hydro Design

hey guys what's up? I was going over a design for a micro grow in my head today using a diy method i saw somewhere on the internet...don't know where though. basically the design requires a small container to act as the the container for the root mass. A 2 liter bottle to act as an...

    Light Proof Intake 'How-To' (w/PIX)

You could also incorporate a muffler design into it even though it'll slow the CFMs. and it is a basic muffler design already but a second protruding board would muffle sounds as well. There all ready slowed down by the shallow channel if you build the channel deeper it shouldn't matter but at...
