Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

I only have a pH and ppm meter so I don't know the EC. I was hesitant to trust the probe, but I did a slurry test last night and the pH came in around 6 so maybe its not that bad. I think I will drop the extra bloom nutes as you suggest. But keep in mind you only use one of the bloom nutes...

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

That makes sense. I'm going to stop over thinking and just watch my plant and see how it behaves. I have grown with these same nutes two other times(2007 and 2013) and they mostly turned out fine. Its been awhile so I keep second guessing myself. There is so much conflicting info. Some...

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

I'm only using the three basic liquid nutes(Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom), and the three granular nutes(Open Sesame, Cha Ching, and Beastie Bloomz). I only give nutes every other watering. I'm going to see how the plant responds and go from there, if it looks like its burning, i will flush...

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

Thank you. Good to know. I literally just fed this plant today, should I flush it out right now? Or should I wait to see how it responds? I was more worried about flushing it a week into flowering, but now you have me worried I'm going to burn the hell out of it.

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

When I said in flower, I meant that I had switched my lights. Apologies for the confusion.

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

I'm using Fox Farms nutes, and 1800 ppm for this stage is in the range they recommend. With regards to the perlite I was wondering the same. A high % of perlite would allow the roots to breath better and make it easier to prevent salt build up(This was my thought anyway). This is the first...

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

It had pre-flowers before I switched the light. 100% The light was flipped last Saturday. Its only been 5 days in flower.

Input pH vs. Soil pH vs. Runoff pH

I'm growing in soil with a high perlite content(30-40%) and I have noticed some discrepancies in my input pH(water/nutes), compared to my soil pH(tested with cheap soil meter https://amzn.to/2N8TYMv) compared to my runoff pH. My input water pH is right around 7 with ppm of around 330. When I...

    Induce Flowering with Fertilizer?

Thanks for the prompt response. I was aware that the flowring nutes are used because they are the proper ratio of nutes, that the plant needs when flowering. I just thought i had remembered reading that if you give a plant those nutes late in the grow season, it could trick the plant into...

    Induce Flowering with Fertilizer?

Is it possible to induce flowering a little earlier with the use of fertilizer? I realize that the reduction in light is what actually causes flowering but could i start introducing my flowering nutes, before daylight drops below 12 hours to jumpstart the process? Could i start flower nutes a...

    My Clone Changed Sex

If i was to imbreed the transexual male to a female clone of itself, would this result in very stable seeds and/or would i just be passing on the gene that helps to cause a female to change to a male? Any ideas?

    My Clone Changed Sex

Damn, i should have kept it and pollinated a branch or two. A bunch of feminized seeds would have been nice. Oh well.

    My Clone Changed Sex

Anyone else have any experiences with this or any theories on the result of pollinating a female with a identical clone female that has turned male.

    My Clone Changed Sex

i dont really have the space to keep a male separate or i would have done the same. I'm absolutely sure that it is a clone from the same plant and i was very surprised at how fast the male flowers developed. If i were to have kept this rouge male and collected the pollen and then fertilized...

    My Clone Changed Sex

I took 3 clones about 2.5 months ago from the female that i just harvested. The clones have been under light 24/7 for that entire period. I kept them in small pots to root bind them because i was short on space. Anyway, i just brought them into the flower room last week, 2 of them are...

    Diffrence between F1 and F2 F3

I'm no expert but i think the main difference is the stability of the seed. If you have 10 F1 seeds, you might get 5 that look and grow the same and 5 that look different and have different characteristics(quality, smell, taste, yield, etc.) as you continue to breed the strains that have the...

    My Albino Seedling

I had a seedling start out that way and i just treated it like any other and after a little while it started to turn green and then it grew normally with normal colors. Dont kill it just let it go and see what happens.

    Jar Storage Before Mold Begins?

You need to open the jars every day or so until they are throughly dried. Basically if you have any condensation build up in the jar, continue to open them daily and at some point they will get dry enough(crispy on the outside and softer but not moist on the inside). Once they are dried, you...

    Yellow flowering

I had the same problem and i still dont know if its totally normal. I know that leaves will yellow towards the end of flowering because of the lack of Nitrogen but mine seemed to be yellowing too much too soon. I tried flushing and it didnt help much, now i'm close enough to harvest that i'm...

male plants ..good for any thing

I made butane hash with a few male plants and it turned out very good. I was surprised. It took a lot of leaves but the quality of hash was good and definitely did the trick. I use the male hash to smoke up in groups and save the good stuff for more intimate settings.
