    Terryberry vertical grow 400w mh

Even if you do snap it, a splint is easy to make and you will have effectively supercropped that branch, so you'll have even fatter flowers on that one than the others. ;)

    Terryberry vertical grow 400w mh

It's really never too late for low stress training man. You can do some zip tie action and at least start moving some main branches around that way, and slowly add ties to it as you go, as you run a bigger risk of snapping a branch if they're further developed than you would if they were still...

The Hobby Grow aka the Torture Chamber...Vertical/3x3/400w/Coco, Goal = 450g/Cycle

Thanks man. LST is definitely handy, although with the intensity of training I'm not sure "low stress" is the terminology I'd have used for this run...haha.

    Vertical kinda sucks

The yields I get with a vertical setup when compared to a horizontal setup of the same wattage and size speak for themselves, to my mind anyways. At least 1.5x, often close to double what I used to yield in the equivalent space. I can get 1/4lb per plant in 3 gallon buckets with 4-5 week veg and...

    A real vert set up!!!

Well that was a challenge to the threadstarter, but I suppose we could always have a friendly competition too. :joint:

    A real vert set up!!!

You sure are a cocky sumbitch, where I'm from that kind of attitude doesn't get you too far in life. By the way, I'll go ahead and issue a pre-emptive challenge kiddo...I get a 600w, you get a 1000w, same space, same strain, and I'll yield more and better herb with coco, tap water, a+b, and...

    Terryberry vertical grow 400w mh

Looking good man...ever consider adding in another spectrum, or going with a CMH bulb instead of regular MH?

How necessary are the cool tubes?

They're not necessary unless you are in such cramped quarters that you can't keep the plants at a reasonable distance from the bulb, either by placement or by SCROG/other training.

    Design advice needed

I like 4x4 for straight vscrog or any 600w vert really. 3x3 is perfect for a 400w but too tight for the 600 for sure. It can be done, but not comfortably or as efficiently as you might like.

    vertical and topping?

indica-dom plants really don't do terribly well in vert setups anyways because of their structure. The only way to really do those effectively is with a true SOG-style wall of green

    vertical and topping?

You're absolutely right, I should have been more specific. I was speaking about his particular setup...with a 400w you will absolutely achieve a better yield and better overall canopy with topping/fiming and other training techniques. With a tree grow, as you mentioned, there is certainly an...

    vertical and topping?

FIM all day, there's really no debate about that. You'll also want to do some pretty intense larf trimming (aka "lollipopping") and heavy LST/other training as well, supercropping included. Certain strains take to certain techniques better than others, you'll just have to play around with a few...

    Loss Of Data

The decision to prosecute on a federal level for cannabis manufacturing is a discretionary one, no longer mandatory under sentencing guidelines...but you are confusing your facts. Simply because the federal government chooses not to prosecute folks with a certain number of plants does NOT mean...

    Loss Of Data

uh...no...we're not. and even if we were state legal for MMJ, the Feds don't give a shit either way -- it's still illegal and it's still a federal offense to grow any amount of herb...

    Loss Of Data

I'm a bit confused. Are you guys running a cracked version of vB or what? In my 10+ years of administrating and posting on vb forums I have seen a small handful of successful "hacks," this software is pretty airtight for somebody pushing a religious website that looks like it was made on...

400W super lemon haze. from start to harvest(today)

Anchoring the plants to the screen behind them is a much better way to go. Try a few more runs and you'll probably notice the same thing. Very nice grow, OP, keep it up!

Trimming the back branch or train it?

Break it and bend it forward in between the other branches...as that heals into the "supercrop knot," break it again and tie it/splint it straight up so that it joins the rest of the colas. You can adjust as necessary to make for a solid canopy.

The Hobby Grow aka the Torture Chamber...Vertical/3x3/400w/Coco, Goal = 450g/Cycle

The third plant (foxtailed one, black zip ties) is still a couple days from fully dry, but the final numbers from the other two were 85g (clear zip ties) and 118g from the big one (red zip ties). Keep in mind that a LOT of larf/popcorn (which shouldn't have been there at all, but more on that...

The Hobby Grow aka the Torture Chamber...Vertical/3x3/400w/Coco, Goal = 450g/Cycle

Thanks guys......i'm pretty happy with the results given all of the hurdles...sad that I chopped roughly 4-5 days earlier than I would have liked and never ran into the security issue I thought I had, but definitely fine with playing it safe in that regard. I'm going to try to find some...

    Please help

I would wager over-feeding too, but that one photo alone without more detailed information really prevents anyone from giving you an accurate diagnosis to be honest. ^^I tend to disagree on the feeding thing above, though...proper dosage from start to finish precludes the need for a "flush"...
