A workinng fridge would be OK with a plug-in temperature control like homebrewers use. It has a plug (into the wall), and a receptacle (that you plug the fridge in to) and then you set the temp. I have thought about doing this myself.

Thanks. As far as the lights go, would you then suggest HPS? Remember, I have a two tube 24" set on its side behind the AG. I did this and the plant really started to reach for the tubes. Good thing, I would have run out of room if it hadn't. And if I get an HPS, any recommendations...
