When that happens to my fan leaves, I just snip them off. It's usually the big fan leaves near the bottom in my case.

Yes, I use Schultz as well-- but I get it at Home Depot. It's not the fastest rooting hormone but it appears to be reliable thus far.

If you're going to clone a plant, you'll need some sort of rooting hormone, whether it be a powder, gel, or homemade from willow cuttings. There's got to be something to trigger the rooting process.

Dammit, my clone fell and died, so I'm starting over, it's in the rooting process right now. This one should be a hell of a lot healthier as well and since its the top node of one of muh plants it'll grow real nice.
