    Powdery mildew

I agree with @ProPheT 216, something's the source. PM was a pain for me for a while, haven't seen it in a long time now. I completely cleaned my dehumidifier, fans, etc with wettable sulfur, (2 tablespoons per gallon) sprayed my plants that were in veg with it twice, (veg is fine, flower is a no...

    Harsh smoke good hash?

If after a good round of "curing" it doesn't get any better, I'd wash it and make hash out of it. I have a strain that was "good" after the dry/cure, but has turned into something worthy the longer it's cured, can't keep the kids out of it, and at 1st they didn't even want to smoke it, a good...

    Stretched stem

You were on the right track by moving your light farther away. It should recover, if you don't have a par meter, I'd get one, or see if a local shop will rent you one, 2 shops close to me rent them out for like $10.00 with a refundable deposit otherwise your guessing at how much light your...

    Stretched stem

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Let it stretch, prop it up if need be, it will eventually settle in. Most of my seedlings stretch and I've never worried about it. If they flop over, I just use a piece of garden wire to lift them up. Bye the time it's ready for transplant again, it will be...

    vegging under hps

Back in the day, way back, I vegged under an HPS bulb, didn't have any problems. Back then you either had an MH ballast or HPS ballast, and money was tight so just ran 1 1000 watt HPS for all my grows, didn't really notice much of a difference between the clones I was running and the same clones...

    Cannatrol vs. Freeze Dryer

Because I've got a lot to go thru, can't tie it up, need it drying more smoke. I've let 1 batch sit for 3 weeks, and it got way better, but have to open space to get more drying.

    Spider Mites (Safers Soaps)

Keep spraying and praying. Eggs hatch around every 3 days, and if your seeing webbing, you have a hard task at hand to get rid of them. Use the search bar for "spider mites" and start spraying.

3 weeks into flower. 1st grow ever. Help.

It's still early yet, but it's better to be proactive. I've had it happen to me in my earlier years. I'm primarily an outdoor grower, (usually just do 1 indoor run a year) and it's something that I have to watch very closely towards the end, as I grow in a swampy area, and the stems, if left...

3 weeks into flower. 1st grow ever. Help.

In picture #2, looks like leaf stems where you cut the leaf off. Cut them as close to the main stalk as possible. Later in bud, those stems will cause you problems, AKA bud rot.

3 weeks into flower. 1st grow ever. Help.

Get rid of the zip ties trying to gather your plant in the center. And as far as Lux on the lowers, welcome to indoor lighting, the farther you get away from the light, the lower the intensity, that's just how it works, the tops will ALWAYS receive more intense light than the lowers, there...

    Humboldt Seed Company (HSC) Thread

I have only smoked a few that I grew out this year. Humboldt Dream to me is OK. It took way too long to finish, tastes good, but the high is mediocre, and not very strong. Will not be running this again. Squirt is amazing, terps carried thru dry/cure and tastes like a fresh squeezed grapefruit...

    Cannatrol vs. Freeze Dryer

There isn't much fluctuation, you set it to what you want your moisture level at. If you set it to the slope function, it will take whatever the starting humidity is, and slopes it slowly to your set point over the course of the cycle. All my runs have started anywhere from 80-89% and slope down...

Were grow lights at one time referred to as a "spider"?

I believe what he is referring to as a "spider" was a fixture that you could put 5 HPS bulbs in. It hung by a center post, and had 5 arms coming out that the bulbs went into. Larger grow ops used them because they would throw out a ton of light to a larger area.

    Cannatrol vs. Freeze Dryer

I've got my guys making me a few more racks. Nice owning part of a shop that has the ability to make just about anything I ever need.

Newbie grower, don't know what's wrong.

My suggestion is next time, Solo cups, clear for your plants, then put that inside a dark one, this way it keeps your roots out of the light, you can check on them from time to time and when it's time to transplant, come out much easier than what you've got them in.

    Deer Season Starts Monday

Our DNR is pretty damn good IMO about managing our wildlife. They have been keeping very good tabs on our Elk herd, but there are only certain areas that they congregate to and roam. From what I understand, most if not all that win a tag in the "lottery" will take home an Elk, just wish I could...

    Cannatrol vs. Freeze Dryer

Dude, that absolutely blows!!!!! UPS & FedEx are horrible. They had to of thrown that around to cause damage like that, what a shame. I feel sorry that you'll have to wait another week, it truly sucks ass, but the wait will be worth it. Don't feel too bad, my washer is broke, ordered parts...

    Considering a controller

The controller on my AC Infinty fan works quite well for me. With the app, I can track, log, and adjust my room to hit "optimal" conditions.

    Is this ready for harvest?

You've got a week or 2 to go. And 3 days of "darkness" is a frivolous activity that really does nothing for your plants. Might as well water them with ice water too, get the plant thinking the end of season is approaching and it will make the trichomes burst in the last few days, LOL
