    Citric Acid lowers PPMs

Good info. My understanding is that this is predominently used to lower the effect of having hard water calcium build up in your medium and messing up your ph - mostly by organic growers. That's why I use citric -based on this reaction with Ca. Some local Promix growers who reuse their medium...

    Official Gaia Green Grow Method

That's what I've been hearing regarding chlorine too. I'm still leaving the water out at least overnight anyways just in case. https://www.albertaurbangarden.ca/2015/06/05/does-the-chlorine-in-tap-water-harm-beneficial-bacteria/

    Official Gaia Green Grow Method

Fantastic. Wow. Just de-chlorinate and water. Such a huge change from coco with so many water variables for me to mess up (and I did). Thanks for the replies! Much appreciated.

    Official Gaia Green Grow Method

This thread is gold. Thanks to everyone who contributed so far! One thing I don't see mentioned is ph targets for organics and what you use to adjust up/down without killing your bacteria. I'm moving from coco and liquid nutes to Gaia and promix hp. Any suggestions for target ph and what I...

    Update on 1st indoor grow.

Oh, cool. Thanks for that suggestion and guideline. I had read that phone apps were too inaccurate so I didn't bother to even download one. An old Google project has a free version as a science journal app for kids. I'll give it a go today as I try to dial this in!

    Update on 1st indoor grow.

Yeah, no kidding! She's looking at bit rough right now. The leaves started cupping but I couldn't understand why. Messed with the fan. Then they got pretty dry and I also thought I saw deficiency so I upped the nutes. Then it looked like she had both deficiency and nute burn at the same time and...

    Update on 1st indoor grow.

Awesome. Super helpful. Looks like you end up at 18" 100% when she is mature. I'll give that a go after a day or two of 50% to let her recover. Thanks so much! Really appreciate it.

    Update on 1st indoor grow.

Hey @HydroKid239 may I ask you a question? I'm also using an SF1000 - How far away from canopy and what dimmer setting are you using for each stage of the grow? I was at 14 inches away with 100% power on week 2 of flower and it burned my plant. This is actually farther away than recommended...
