    Heath Robinsons undercurrent RDWC setup

What was the setup that you used?? Was the outlet a pipe just shooting water at the base of the tree or was it splashing directly into the water inside the tote?

RDWC undercurrent in ice coolers/esky containers

The biggest bulk heads I can find is 2". I might just have to get super inventive and weld up some stainless steel flanges and bolt them into the coolers and then seal them all up with silicone. I'll be using silicone intercooler pipe to connect them with hose clamps... Would've been nice if...

    Heath Robinsons undercurrent RDWC setup

My dwc containers are going to be ice coolers or eskys whatever you call them where you're from so will be fairly sealed. My thoughts were that you would eventually deplete the air inside of those containers of oxygen as it not really being replaced. I may be wrong but it's just my thinking at...

    Heath Robinsons undercurrent RDWC setup

I meant more like.... Once the lid is on the container with the netpot... you've got the same volume of air almost sealed inside between the waterline and the lid..... Would you not eventually deplete the oxygen content of that air? I was thinking about putting a venturi onto my feed line to my...

    Heath Robinsons undercurrent RDWC setup

J232 I actually prefer what you've done here, but my only consideration was how does fresh air actually get inside the container to keep the oxygen level in the air above the water replinished if its constantly being dissolved into the water?? Thats the other reason I was thinking of going a...

RDWC undercurrent in ice coolers/esky containers

Hey guys, I live in a place with a constant high temp. Ive just bought a 2nd hand water chiller and im trying to minimise condensation and also insulate the water from the high ambient temps. I come across people using ice coolers I think you guys in the USA call them, here we call them eskys...

    Heath Robinsons undercurrent RDWC setup

Hi guys, Ive been searching the internet all morning to try and find details on his undercurrent setup that utilises no air pumps. Specifically how he plumbs the outlet at the top of the netpot to get that DO content? Is he just pointing a 13mm pipe at the base of the tree and allowing water to...

    Flood table Grow pot

I'm only about to start my journey on medialess flood and drain. Would you highly recommend the cocomat in the bottom? I was going to flood it without media every hour to keep humidity up and root zone temps down. Also keep the res aerated so I don't run airstone in the res to stop the ph swings...

5' x 2' LED Strip light setup, Pros please straighten my head

So technically their PPFD/PAR values would be higher than the samsungs etc is what you're getting at? Okay, so from my understanding is that far red causes internodal stretch. I was trying to avoid alot of far red in whatever lights i buy because i dont have much vertical height in my canopy...

5' x 2' LED Strip light setup, Pros please straighten my head

Hmmm yes they do look pretty good with the option to change temperature for different stages. Im guessing from the specs i just looked at. Their Lumens/watt efficiency is about 130lm/w compared to some samsung strips of like 205lm/w. This is due to their twin temperature chips on the board...

5' x 2' LED Strip light setup, Pros please straighten my head

Righto so since Im a 5' area. Id like to go with the 2' strips instead of 4' strips and span them across the 2' dimension as they will definitely fit. Is there much advantage to getting dual row strips? I don't mind the extra work to spread out more strips. Anything from cutters store that you...

I was really hoping that you'd comment on this! More so on the Strips themselves I have all the aluminium at home to do it and I can stack dimes on aluminium, 2020 extrusion isn't cheap around here.
