Ive got some nice healthy plants growing outside here in northern Maine, if i was to cut shade leaves ect. off the plant, will that help my buds get bigger/more THC?

Was out watering my plants this morning and notice i had slugs on my plants. Removed and killed the ones that i found, how do i go about geting rid of them and keep them away? CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS?

I have just noticed some type of bug boring into 1 of my plants. It seems to be where i had cut some leaves off mainly. Whatever it is seems to borrow into the stem and pushes out something that looks like dirt, almost like a termite wld do! Im in Maine and the plants are outdoors, CAN ANYONE...
