I'm just wondering if a female plant will preflower/show stigma when the light cycle is still at 18? If it does should I leave the light cycle at 18 or switch to 12/12? Thanks for you input

Im new to growing and my current garden is only my second. I have 3 females that I got to preflowering and I turned the light cycle down to 11.5 hours. They are at week three and buds started to form but I now the growth started to slow and the leaves started to turn yellow on the lower portions...
