its been 3 days since weve planted ours and yet no sprout...heard some where to turn the lights off until they do? is this true??!!

me and a freind went and bought 2 55 gallon rubermaid tubs to start a growbox...really dont know how were gonna do it but we have 2 24" flouro tubs, a fan, white paint. just need a couple of ideas on how to do it, thanks
