should i have the lighting on 12/12 to sex? the back to 16/8???

So i have had my plant for about a month now..... had it on about 24 hr light should i swithc it to 12 on 12 off???? its about 8 inches tall now! Just curious about what i should do to find out if its male or female?????? Thanks guys for all the help btw!!!!!

So afteeeer germing about 15 seeds only 1 turned out, and believe me i had a hard time at first getting him to grow because accidently i planted the seed upside down so i had to uncover and re align the seed the right way but "SHE" a trooper! Hes under a 400w high pressure light with a fan...

SO i saw on another site that u should put the seed with the root facing upwards so i did that waited 7 days and saw nothing so today just a little while ago i carefully uncovered the dirt and saw the head of the seedling now i saw the root as well so i re covered the root and uncovered the head...

So i germd a seed and planted it, it has been 3 days and still hasnt broken surface i am keeping the soil moist. to make sure its not drying out... is this normal thanks :)

How long till seed breaks soil???? i planted it yesterday morn and gave it some water?????? TY

So i germd the seeds and my buddy used miracle grow african violet soil so i got that and put the seed in it yesterday morning ...... i am curiosu how long do i have to wait till it breaks soil! Thanks alot guys this site is the shizzit
