I have two healthy northern light plants 5 weeks old just under a foot. When should i start the 12/12 cycle. How long does the whole process take like 8 weeks? I want a good amount of bud obviously just like everyone else but not to outgrow my closet.

I have two Northern Light feminized plants growing in my shed, foil around them. Almost like a grow box. They look to be pretty healthy for about 3 weeks old. When they flower is this going to be enough light for them though?? Should I keep the light only a few inches away from them at all time? :?
