Put in ground, add water & let grow..

Growing it outdoors in norcal lots of sun. Last year i grew plants that were in the 2 -3 lbs range in same spot. What kind of yield potential for Jack and can i use a trimmer to trim it as buds seem to be pretty whispy in pix i have seen. Thanx
