I have a 400w HPS and was wondering if i'd be able to buy a 400w MH bulb and just use the same (400w) ballast? the plan is to switch bulbs every other day so the plants get a varied spectrum, but i can't afford another ballast just for a MH light...

This is my 3rd grow and i'm pretty clued up as to all the theory... Got some Ice-cream (from Paradise seeds, feminised) which i've heard flowers later than the quoted time and takes a long while to fully ripen... Ive got some close-up pics and whilst i can see a fair few amber trich's on most...
