What is the highest watt MH lamp with out having to use a balast?

So my plants are definatly over waterd. The gauge on my moisture meter is in the wet zone. Do i cut watering out period till it comes down? Or do i just water with a smaller amounts so that the plant can still get its nutes???? :wall:
